Justin Luiten about his profession:
“During my time at Moszkowicz, I got the chance to more or less run the criminal law-section of the office in Maastricht. In that period, I learned a lot. You have to master complex files rapidly and then get to the core of it. A file of thousands of pages must of course be in my head when I’m in a court session, so that I can explain the judge what the legal obstacles are. But in smaller cases, too, I usually find some exceptions. When the case seems lost on first sight, I often still find a defense that leads to acquittal. But even if an acquittal is out of reach, I still try to get the best possible result.”
Fields of law
Luiten focuses on all aspects of criminal law. He handles the full range of criminal cases: perpetrators and victims, first offenders as well as repeat offenders, from a simple theft to organized crime, and from regional courts to the Supreme Court. Justin Luiten can also help you in criminal cases with an international dimension: the European Courts, extradition or surrender, transfer of sentences etc.
Before Justin Luiten joined the firm, he worked for one and a half year as a paralegal at Van Berge Henegouwen advocaten in Maastricht and after that for almost three years as a criminal defense lawyer for Moszkowicz advocaten, also in Maastricht.
